2006 Malbec, Wood River Vineyard Terroir Series

Malbec is one of the five grapes used in red Bordeaux wines. It's role in the blend is to add bright fruit flavor and deep magenta color to the blends. In Argentina, this varietal, imported to the country in the 1800's, has achieved its own distinct character and become the best known wine from the Mendoza area of Argentina. Our own version is rich and voluptuous with wonderful fruit character and depth. The label art is by Diana Schuppel who was inspired by the fruit flavors and mystique of the varietal.
